Weak Foot drills
8 drills that build weak foot, each with step-by-step instructions and 8 with video.
Baby V's Right and Left Foot
The 'baby V' — pulling the ball back and pushing it out at an angle with the same foot — builds the tight, V-shaped touch that escapes pressure and opens a new passing or dribbling angle.
Cruyff Right/Left Foot
Named after Johan Cruyff, this drag-behind-the-standing-leg move trains the disguised turn that creates instant separation from a defender.
Juggle Left (Kick Catch)
Kicking the ball straight up with your left foot and catching it — with no spin and without moving — builds the clean, square laces contact that is the foundation of juggling and striking with your weaker foot.
Left/Right Foot Scissors
The scissor is a core feint — rolling your foot over and around the ball sells a change of direction that beats defenders one-on-one.
Outside-Inside Both Feet
Pushing the ball with the outside then the inside of the foot trains the two-surface control that lets you wriggle through tight spaces with either foot.
Pull and Push w/ Shoelace R/L
Pulling the ball back with your sole and pushing it forward with your laces builds the controlled stop-and-go touch that lets you manipulate the ball in tight space.
Scissor Both Feet
Chaining scissors with both feet trains the rapid double feint that freezes defenders and lets you break either direction at speed.
Step Over Right/Left Foot
Circling your foot over and around the ball trains the explosive step-over feint used to wrong-foot defenders before you accelerate past them.
